TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time Senior Engineer IT Infrastructure to join our Kwinana team.
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, build, maintenance, performance, security, and reliability of the organisation’s IT and OT core network and server infrastructure. This role provides expert-level technical leadership across hybrid environments, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and aligned with best practice and business needs. The position also delivers Level 3 support to the IT Service Desk and acts as a subject matter expert across enterprise systems, integrations, and automation initiatives.
In addition to demonstrating our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit a seasoned Infrastructure Engineer, whose expertise covers both Network and Hardware Infrastructure implementations and Operational Technology. The ideal candidate will enjoy problem solving and technical learning, is able to plan and set priorities according to operational importance and can manage their time effectively.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Operations & Support
- Provide Level 3 support for complex incidents, escalations, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Triage and resolve infrastructure incidents, ensuring timely updates and knowledge transfer to support teams.
- Perform after-hours support for high-severity incidents, upgrades, and planned maintenance.
- Monitor system and network performance to identify trends, bottlenecks, and capacity risks.
Architecture, Design & Engineering
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure architecture across on‑prem, cloud, network, and OT environments.
- Maintain and optimise network infrastructure across corporate and OT environments in alignment with ISO 27001 and Secure‑by‑Design principles.
- Develop and maintain strategic infrastructure roadmaps for network, hypervisor, and cloud platforms.
- Establish and maintain infrastructure monitoring, ensuring proactive detection and response to platform, network, and backup events.
Systems, Applications & Integration
- Act as the subject matter expert for business and operational systems across IT and OT domains.
- Oversee the operation, support, and continuous improvement of core systems including ERP, cloud applications, , MES, and related OT platforms.
- Design and implement system integrations to optimise data flow, automation, and operational efficiency.
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Manage backup and recovery operations in line with data governance frameworks, including retention, archival, disposal, and access control.
- Oversee infrastructure change management processes, ensuring changes are controlled, documented, risk‑assessed, and compliant with ISO 27001.
- Ensure alignment with IT standards, cybersecurity requirements, and cost controls across all infrastructure and systems initiatives.
- Maintain accurate asset and configuration inventories (CMDB), ensuring recoverability and lifecycle alignment.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
Core Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, SQL Server, Exchange Online, DFS, File & Print Services.
- In‑depth experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft Purview.
- Knowledge of Azure hybrid infrastructure.
Virtualisation & Cloud
- Experience deploying and operating virtualisation platforms including Hyper‑V, VMware, and Dell VxRail.
- Infrastructure automation experience.
Networking & Security
- Strong experience with the Fortinet ecosystem.
- Experience with Dell and Cisco switching, VLANs, routing, and core‑to‑edge segmentation.
- Strong understanding of secure‑by‑design principles and physical/logical segmentation in hybrid IT/OT environments.
- Solid understanding of physical network infrastructure.
Operational Technology (OT)
- Experience with OT environments including Rockwell FactoryTalk.
- Understanding of OT cybersecurity, segmentation, and reliability requirements.
Scripting & Automation
- Experience designing and implementing automation to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
Documentation, Governance & Frameworks
- Strong technical documentation skills across architecture, operations, and procedures.

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
