ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time Document Controller to join our team working at our Kwinana plant.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the effective administration, control, distribution, retention, and integrity of controlled technical and operational documentation across Tianqi Lithium Kwinana (TLK).

The role supports both Operations and Projects by ensuring engineering, maintenance, process, project, vendor, and operational documents are accurately managed throughout their lifecycle. The position works closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Reliability, Procurement, and external contractors to maintain compliance with document control standards and ensure personnel have access to current and approved information.

The Document Controller supports the Lead Document Controller in maintaining document control systems, governance processes, revision control, project handovers, and management of plant master records, ensuring documentation remains accurate, auditable, and fit for operational use.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and administer document management systems to ensure controlled documents are accurately managed throughout their lifecycle and remain accessible to authorised users.
  • Control engineering, operational and project documentation, ensuring document numbering, revisions, approvals and metadata are maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain document registers, transmittals and tracking processes to support effective management of technical, operational and project records.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, distribution and archiving of controlled documents to ensure information is current, accurate and readily available.
  • Support Management of Change (MoC), plant modifications and capital projects by ensuring documentation is updated, reviewed and issued in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate As-Built documentation and project handover records to ensure complete and accurate transfer of information into operational systems.
  • Maintain the integrity of plant master documentation, including engineering drawings, procedures, specifications, technical standards and vendor documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with document control procedures and standards through routine audits, quality checks and reporting activities.
  • Provide document control support to Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability and Project teams, as well as external contractors and service providers.
  • Deliver document control training, inductions and user support to promote effective document management practices across the business.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of document control systems, procedures, templates and workflows.
  • Support operational, shutdown and project activities by providing timely, accurate and professional document control services to stakeholders

WHAT YOU CAN BRING

  • Certificate, Diploma or demonstrated experience in Document Control, Information Management, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in document control within industrial, mining, processing, oil & gas, chemical or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with document management systems, preferably M-Files.
  • Understanding of engineering and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of document lifecycle management and revision control practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and document accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

LOCATION

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.

Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
