ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full time Production / Packing Technician to join our team working on an even-time “sportsman’s roster” (5/5/4).

This role is responsible for operating the automated bagging machines as well as managing warehousing and dispatch of final bagged products produced at the refinery. The position also includes training, conducting reviews, and developing safe work instructions and procedures for all activities associated with the automated bulk-bag bagging plants, warehouse storage areas and logistics movements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Abled to develop the skills required to manage the challenges of operating automated packaging plants.
  • Quickly interprets changing situations and remains composed while working and making decisions under pressure or during periods of high workload.
  • Competent in materials handling, warehouse storage and logistics operations including safe forklift operation.
  • Builds strong working relationships and effectively understands and follows instructions.
  • Approaches work in a well‑planned, organised, and methodical manner.
  • Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of mobile equipment.
  • Maintains a high standard of housekeeping across all work areas.
  • Demonstrates a committed and practical approach to safety and well-being of self and team members.
  • Communicates clearly and engages effectively with other team members.
  • Conducts regular inspections of all plant areas within scope of responsibility, ensuring hazards are identified, controlled or eliminated.
  •  Reports faults and breakdowns promptly to support safe and reliable plant operation.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING

  • Mobile Equipment: High-risk forklift licence (Required)
  • Mobile Equipment: RS – Reach stacker licence (Desirable)
  • Adaptive to a fast-paced continuously changing environment
  • Experience with using scanner/barcoding equipment
  • Preferred exposure to manual or semi-automated bagging plants
  • Exposure to the permit to work system. (Desirable)

LOCATION

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.

Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
