TLEA is welcoming applications for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team on a permanent full-time basis, working a family-friendly Monday to Friday roster.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ongoing reactionary and planned NPI site maintenance maintaining optics and functionality of all TLEA sites to expected standards of excellence. This includes the Kwinana site, the Research and development laboratory in Bibra Lake, and the storage facilities in Rockingham.


In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity, and innovation, this position will suit an individual with a solid technical tooling skill set, who remains cool under pressure and is accurate when scoping out work.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Site-based NPI maintenance including fortnightly cleaning of air-conditioning filters, alternating between train 1 and train 2.
•    Maintaining site gardens and landscaping.
•    General stock and material movements on an ‘as required’ basis.
•    Refitting and stripping of donga internals.
•    Responding to plumbing issues (minor leaks, blocked dishwashers, etc).
•    Assembly and installation of furniture as required (building racks, storage cupboards, compartments, desks, etc).
•    Managing the fuel station refueling vehicles, monitoring vendor usage, and maintaining adequate fuel stocks for site efficiency.
•    Ensuring adequate bottled water supply to offices that use water coolers across the site. 
•    Execute building and stock repairs, both reactionary and planned as per SAP data reports.
•    Seasonal-based minor pest control.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 
•    Forklift ticket.
•    Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar ‘hands on’ role.
•    Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
•    Ability to engage and communicate clearly with vendors and team: ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
•    Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
•    Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks.
•    Possesses excellent stakeholder engagement attributes and has an inclusive and open style.
