ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you passionate about making a real impact? TLEA is currently seeking a full-time Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team at the Kwinana plant, working an even-time Sportsman’s roster (5/5/4 – days only).

In this role, you will lead a team of Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians, ensuring the safe and effective execution of the maintenance plan. You will be responsible for maintaining a strong safety culture across the refinery, developing and supporting your team, and overseeing both corrective and preventative maintenance activities. A key part of this role is driving continuous improvement through practical problem-solving and a proactive approach to reliability and performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Lead and manage a crew of Electrical and instrumentation Technicians. 
•    Schedule requested (unplanned) maintenance.
•    Report maintenance issues.
•    Execute maintenance plans as per schedule. Ensure quality work to achieve plant uptime targets. 
•    Plan and manage asset maintenance. 
•    Perform asset maintenance. 
•    Assess risks to determine which to mitigate.
•    Develop risk mitigation and management strategy and integrate with existing performance management processes.
•    Improve processes.
•    Conduct health and safety and environmental audits.
•    Record and manage EHS events.
•    Implement emergency response program.
•    Provide employees with EHS support.
•    Perform quality testing1 Manage employee requisitions.

 

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 
•    10+ years’ electrical instrumentation maintenance experience in base metal/ore refining
•    Significant experience in the managing maintenance teams. Proven people and Safety Leader.
•    Committed and practical approach to safety and wellbeing of all staff.
•    Sound knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements.
•    Ability to engage and communicate clearly with team and liaise with all levels of the organisation.
•    Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
•    Committed to the development and training of your team.
•    Ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks.
•    Excellent knowledge of refinery maintenance practices.
•    Possesses excellent stakeholder engagement attributes and has an inclusive and open leadership style.

LOCATION

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant. 
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
