ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for full time Senior Technician E&I to join our team working a Days & Nights roster at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for safely executing maintenance tasks on equipment as per SAP processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Electrical & Instrumentation. You will also actively support and apply the company’s continuous improvement principles to minimize cost and maximize production to ensure that Tianqi Lithium Kwinana produces the highest quality and most cost-effective lithium in the world.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit an individual with prior experience working in Brownfield Operations and Environments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to the continual improvement of health, safety, environment and sustainable development across the business.
- Commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for all our people.
- Safely isolate plant and equipment as to the PTW requirements
- Ensure compliance to SAP processes for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP system
- Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical and gas regulations and standards
- Participate in the development and enhancement of task based safe work instructions
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all events and hazards and participate in workplace investigations or observations as required
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping and general standards for plant, equipment, stores and tools
- Undertake if necessary, relief positions within relevant skills and competencies
- Undertake the role of maintenance Electrical Instrument Technician on a rotational basis
- Carry out all tasks required within relevant skills and competencies
- Minimize operating costs, including sensible use of consumables, recycling and elimination of waste
- Participate in planning and preparation
- Participate in the Success Factors process and strive to achieve set KPI’s
- Participate in setting and achieving individual and team goals which are directly linked to achieving the overall business standards and objectives
- Maintain constructive working relationships with internal customers, suppliers and other crews
- Complete tasks as dictated by the business needs and within skill set
- Actively promote and embrace Tianqi Values
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
- WA Electrical Workers License, Unrestricted.
- Electrical/Instrument Trade Certificate III or IV
- Extensive experience working in heavy industry or refining processes in a maintenance role.
- Supervised Gas Fitter preferred
- Hazardous Area preferred
- Working at Heights preferred
- High risk work licence EWP preferred
- High Voltage Switching Operation Certificate preferred

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
