ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time, 2 year Max term Senior Engineer Project to join our team working at our Kwinana plant. Please note that Job share arrangement will be considered for part-time applicants.
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising, scheduling, and managing all the technical tasks of their assigned projects to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality through the Project Lifecycle as described in Tianqi’s Lithium Kwinana Project Governance Framework. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the project through all phases from Project Initiation, Identification and Selection, Project Delivery, Handover and Close-out. The outcomes achieved from these projects will benefit Tianqi in producing the highest quality and most cost-effective lithium hydroxide in the world.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and the well-being of people.
- Develop the project strategy, project execution plan and ensure project delivery is consistent with that strategy and plan.
- Support “Manager Project” and “Manager Project Engineering” in coordinating the delivery of brownfield projects.
- Be responsible for leading the project through the project lifecycle from opportunity framing, conceptual study, FEED, detail design, construction, commissioning, operations readiness and handover to Operations.
- Be responsible for coordinating key interfaces between Project’s Engineering team, Project’s Execution team and the Operations teams.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the Project team successfully handover to the Operations teams.
- Be responsible for coordinating key interfaces between TLK’s project team and the engineering and construction contractors.
- Be responsible for coordinating procurement of material and services.
- Be responsible for oversight of cost and schedule against baseline with support from the Project Controls Engineer and Cost Controller.
- Provide leadership to ensure that the Project team are aligned on the project goals and priorities are understood.
- Create a highly committed and collaborative team environment.
- Ensures governance of the Owner’s Project delivery process complies with company’s procedures and policies.
- Manage relationships and use ‘Best for Project’ decision making to deliver project objectives.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review the progress, risks, and issues.
- Facilitate meetings between Project team and key stakeholders in Operations as required to resolve issues.
- Facilitate meetings between Project team, Engineering consultants and Construction contractors as required to resolve issues.
- Manage project risk through the maintenance of the project risk register.
- Lead the management and engagement of key project vendors
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
- Tertiary degree in engineering and over 7 years project management experience.
- Project management experience in the mining, resources or major industrial sector.
- Experience in downstream processing / chemical plants.
- Experience in brown field environment, study management, engineering management, construction management, commissioning, operations readiness and handover.
- Knowledge of Australian engineering and construction practices.
- Ability to implement effective risk mitigation.
- Ability to form relationships at all levels in the project organisation and key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the application of digital technologies throughout the project phase.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management experience.

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
