ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, working at our Kwinana plant on a max term one year contract.

 

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead ramp-up of brownfield projects through all phases of the project lifecycle—from initiation to handover—ensuring technical accuracy, resource alignment, and quality outcomes. You’ll play a key role in delivering projects that support production.

 

This role suits a strategic thinker with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery experience in the mining or chemical processing sectors.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead projects through the full lifecycle: opportunity framing, studies, design, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Extensive experience in managing external engineering design consultants.
  • Develop and execute project strategies and plans.
  • Coordinate interfaces between engineering, execution, and operations teams.
  • Oversee procurement, cost, and schedule management.
  • Ensure governance compliance with company procedures and policies.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and resolve project issues.
  • Manage project risks and vendor engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative and committed team environment.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary degree in engineering.
  • 7+ years of project management experience in mining, resources, or industrial sectors.
  • Experience in downstream processing or chemical plants.
  • Proven success in brownfield environments and project handovers.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with Australian engineering and construction practices.
  • Ability to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with digital technologies in project phases.

LOCATION

TLEA proudly acknowledges the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.

Kwinana is 38 km from Perth CBD, 20 km from Fremantle, and just 7 km from Rockingham.
