ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full time Senior Process Engineer to join our team, working across our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing a designated area of the process plant, providing critical support to both production and maintenance teams. This dynamic role combines day-to-day operational oversight with the delivery of short- to medium-term improvement initiatives and capital projects aimed at enhancing plant performance and reliability.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily operational support for the assigned process plant areas
- Optimise plant throughput and reliability, process chemistry and final product quality
- Improve operational performance via process improvement initiatives and supporting capital improvements projects
- Complete investigations into equipment breakdowns and process deviations resulting in lost production or equipment downtime
- Accountable for regular production reporting on all timelines as well as providing production and inventory data for financial reporting
- Lead process commissioning for capital improvement projects in the assigned process plant areas
- Facilitate the management of change process and risk assessments as required for plant changes
- Ensure environmental compliance with license condition
- Optimise processes to meet all customer and internal requirements
- Develop and maintain process-related documents, including updating operating procedures and safe work instructions
- Track and analyse non-conformance trends
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor degree or higher (Chemical Engineer or equivalent)
- 8+ years professional experience within industry
- Previous operational experience as an Area Process Engineer in pyrometallurgical or hydrometallurgical plants is essential
- Strong technical knowledge of complex chemical processing plants and flowsheets
- A committed and practical approach to the safety and well-being of all staff
- A champion for continuous improvement of all operational processes
- Ability to build effective stakeholder relations across the organisation

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
