ABOUT THE POSITION

Our business seeks an experienced Senior Engineer Process for a maximum two-year contract working on a Monday to Friday roster at our Kwinana plant. This role will be working within our Ramp up Project team.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership within the team to enable timely delivery of capital projects that support refinery ramp-up and production targets. This role is perfect for someone who makes sound decisions based on a mix of analysis and experience and who can bring creative ideas forward using rigorous logic to solve problems
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop process concepts and lead scoping studies for ramp-up projects, in close coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with plant requirements and operational goals
• Develops design scopes of work for engineering contractors based on defined process concepts.
• Review and verify design deliverables (documents and drawings) from engineering contractors.
• Ensure process design interfaces effectively with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines.
• Support risk assessments, operability reviews, and hazard studies (HAZOP etc.).
• Provides technical expertise in responding to technical queries during design, construction and commissioning phases.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years’ professional experience within the resources industry.
• Proven experience in project delivery within an owner’s team or in engineering consulting.
• Strong understanding of refinery process operations and process control strategies, with broad experience in either hydrometallurgy or pyrometallurgy.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical writing and communication skills.

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
