TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time Principal Financial Planning and Analysis to join our Kwinana team. This role is available as a maximum term contract until 2 September 2026, with potential for extension.

The successful applicant will manage a broad range of accountabilities encompassing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and systems accounting to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

In addition to demonstrating our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this role will suit an individual with substantial experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within the manufacturing or mining industries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Budgeting and Forecasting          
    • Develop and manage the annual budget, with frequent re-forecasting to adapt to market conditions.
    • Scenario analysis and financial modelling to assist senior leadership in decision-making under tight budget constraints.

 

  • Financial Reporting         
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
    • Conduct variance analysis and explain deviations from forecasts to stakeholders.
    • Provide regular financial updates and models for strategic planning

 

  • Shareholder Communication      
    • Handle detailed shareholder queries
    • Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board and key stakeholders.

 

  • Implementations and Initiatives                
    • Lead the rollout and integration of planning tools and systems to improve forecasting and budgeting efficiency.
    • Train staff and ensure seamless integration into existing workflows.
    • Address implementation challenges and troubleshooting.

 

  • Systems Accounting       
    • Oversee the financial systems to ensure data integrity and efficient use of the ERP system for financial reporting.
    • Coordinate system upgrades or improvements to support financial processes.
    • Ensure smooth integration between the planning tool and existing systems for accurate and timely reporting.

 

  • Product Costing               
    • Ensure accurate product costing, including tracking raw material costs, production expenses, and overhead allocation.
    • Collaborate with production and operations teams to assess cost drivers and profitability analysis.
    • Prepare cost variance reports and offering insights into cost-saving opportunities.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING

  • Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance)
  • Certified Practicing Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting along with proven analytical experience
  • Significant experience in a commercial accounting environment, preferably within the manufacturing or mining industries
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong excel capability / financial analysis
  • SAP knowledge  and experience is an advantage

TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.

Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
