ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a Lead, Project Controls to join our team on a maximum term contract working Monday to Friday at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will lead the full suite of planning, scheduling, cost control, and cost estimating activities for our portfolio of brownfield projects - covering initiation, execution, commissioning and handover to Operations. This role is essential to ensuring our ramp up projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with committed timelines and budgets.
Beyond demonstrating our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, he ideal candidate will bring strong experience in brownfields operational environments and a proven ability to navigate the complexities inherent in live plant settings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure execution plans are consistent with the owner’s execution strategy, overall objectives, and industry standards.
- Support ramp-up managers in planning engineering and execution of a portfolio of brownfield ramp-up projects.
- Work collaboratively with the Project Managers, Commissioning Lead and Operation Readiness Lead, Project Engineers, and Discipline Engineers to assess changes to project activities and translate these changes into the project master schedule.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones.
- Develop and maintain master project schedules, through all phases from design through construction and commissioning, operation readiness and handover.
- Review and assess schedule information provided by external service providers and contractors and incorporate into the owner’s master schedule.
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
- Diploma or above in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, with a focus on scheduling, planning, cost control, and cost estimating, preferably in the mining, mineral processing or heavy industry sectors.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Oracle Primavera Cloud, MS Project or equivalent.
- Proficiency in ERP software including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Significant experience in stakeholder management and teamwork, coordinating schedule and cost activities for a portfolio of projects.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects and ability to prioritise and complete multiple tasks.

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
