ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full-time Max term Lead Document Controller to join our team working at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and governing document control and information management activities across TLK Projects.
The role provides functional leadership to Document Controllers, owns document management systems and processes (M-Files, SharePoint, OneDrive, G Drive), and ensures consistent, compliant, and high-quality document control practices across all capital and sustaining projects.
The position acts as the single point of accountability for project document governance, vendor document management, transmittals, MDRs, and document lifecycle assurance, working closely with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, and Operations.
In addition to possessing our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity and innovation, this position will suit an individual possessing prior experience of Documents Control, ideally within Brownfields environments and operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and govern document control and information management across TLEA Projects and Operations.
- Act as the single point of accountability for document control standards, workflows, and compliance.
- Own and administer document control systems, primarily M-Files, and support information management across SharePoint, OneDrive, and G Drive.
- Maintain document numbering, metadata, revision control, and lifecycle management.
- Govern project and vendor documentation, including MDRs, VDDLs, transmittals, and status control (IFR, IFC, AFC, As-Built).
- Support project delivery, construction readiness, commissioning, and project-to-operations handover.
- Support Operations with controlled management of plant drawings, procedures, and technical records.
- Identify and resolve document control risks, gaps, and non-compliances.
- Provide functional leadership and guidance to Document Controllers across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement of document control processes, systems, and templates
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
- Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or equivalent experience
- Advanced proficiency in document control systems, particularly M-Files
- Strong understanding of engineering and project documentation (P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, MDRs, MTOs)
- Proven experience leading or coordinating document control activities on capital projects
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in mining, processing, or heavy industrial projects is preferred
- Experience with vendor document management and construction handover is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in document control process improvement or system optimisation is preferred

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
