Engineer Mechanical

The successful applicant will be responsible for the implementation of the strategic plan for the Pyro Plant by monitoring the performance of the plant and identifying and managing maintenance projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  
•    Reviewing the results of condition monitoring activities and coordinating mitigative actions where required.
•    Evaluating equipment performance, damage and failure rates.
•    Performing root cause analysis and equipment failure investigations.
•    Engineering solutions to address equipment failure, malfunction or changed performance.
•    Liaising with OEM’s and external contractors with regards to equipment upgrades and modifications.
•    Preparing detailed work instructions for corrective maintenance activities.
•    Assisting in the development, review and update of the equipment spares strategy.
•    Providing technical support to other work groups within the organisation.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 
•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
•    Professional experience in in a similar industry.
•    Experience with rotating and mechanical equipment within a processing plant.
•    Experience with reliability centered maintenance methodologies.
•    Experience with root cause analysis and equipment failure investigations.
•    Understanding of condition monitoring methods and techniques.
•    Good analytical skills and attention to detail. 
•    Good communications skills and the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
•    Experience with SAP.
•    Advanced Microsoft Office programs skills.
