ABOUT THE POSITION

TLEA is welcoming applications for a full time Payroll Officer to join our team at our Kwinana plant.
The successful applicant will coordinate and execute payroll for the Kwinana plant. Ensuring that payroll processing activities are coordinated and processed promptly with accuracy, and in compliance with awards, agreements, legislation and company policies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurate and timely delivery of end-to-end payroll processing for monthly and ad-hoc payroll activities, including payroll inputs, processing, and reviews prior to authorisation.
- Maintain confidential information and employee data, including set up and terminating employees in the payroll system.
- Prepare payroll journals and provision of information for audits.
- Provide a help desk service for all employee payroll queries, ensuring a timely response and resolution.
- Lodge relevant 3rd party payments such as superannuation, child support, novated leases, parental leave,and ex-pat employees.
- Stay well-informed of legislative and statutory requirements and changes as they occur from time to time.
- Provide weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll reporting accurately and on time
WHAT YOU CAN BRING
- Certificate IV in Payroll Administration, Financial Services, or related field.
- Extensive experience in a similar role with high volume data entry and validation.
- Demonstrated experience in end of year processes, reconciliations, and ATO reporting requirements.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislative requirements, year-end audit, taxation, and superannuation.
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel & Word) and reporting capability.
- Excellent data entry, numeric accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working with Definitiv or ADP Payroll and Success Factors would be preferred.
- Experience with the implementation of new systems and system improvement would be preferred.
- Experience working in the resources sector would be preferred.

LOCATION
TLEA proudly acknowledges and the Whadjuk and Gnaala Karla Boodja people of the Noongar Nation, as the traditional custodians of the Kwinana area, where we operate our plant.
Kwinana is 38 km from the Perth central business district, 20 km from City of Fremantle and just 7km from Rockingham.
